Frequently asked questions

General

How do I confirm my booking?

Your appointment is confirmed once your 50% non-refundable retainer is paid.

When you book online, the retainer is taken at booking, so your slot is secured right away.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations are allowed up to 72 hours before your appointment; any later and the retainer is forfeited.

Your retainer is fully refunded if we change or cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.

What happens if I am late or miss my appointment?

A $10 fee is incurred every 10 minutes, call or text if you're running late.

20 minutes late is considered a no-show: your retainer is forfeited, the appointment is cancelled and part of your outstanding balance is due.

Do you offer mobile services?

Yes we do. Out of studio services are $220, and a logistic charge is added once your service address is provided.

Do you take bookings outside Nova Scotia?

Yes, we are available to travel; the client is responsible for all travel and accommodation expenses.

Makeup

How do I prepare for my makeup appointment?

Ensure your brows are freshly groomed and all unwanted facial hair is removed, brow grooming during your session is $10.

Arrive with cleansed skin and exfoliated, moisturized lips.

Are lashes included in your price?

Yes, we have a variety of lash styles to match your desired look. If you have a personal preference, you are welcome to bring your own.

Can I get a customized quote for my wedding?

Yes, every bridal booking is tailored to you. Send a detailed email to aritbeaute@gmail.com and a quote will be customized for you.

Do you offer makeup trainings?

Yes, DIY with Arits Beauté is our personalized 1:1 hands-on makeup class ($400, 3–4 hours), designed to teach you how to do your own makeup with confidence. Makeup shopping can be added on at an extra charge.

Hair

Can I bring my wig on the same day of my appointment?

No, your unit should be delivered 5–7 days before your appointment so we can prep, style and get the unit perfect for your install.

How do I prepare for my hair appointment?

Arrive with freshly washed, detangled and blown-out hair; we want your scalp properly prepped for braiding.

If you have a sensitive scalp or skin, please notify us, you are welcome to bring your personal products.

Can I book makeup and hair in one session?

Yes, we can definitely give you the full package. Keep the total duration in mind if you have a commitment after your sessions.

Do you offer hair colouring services?

No, for now our hair services are wig installs, customization and revamps, with basic styling. We hope to expand in the near future.
