Booking policies
Retainers, cancellations, lateness and how to prepare for your appointment.

These are the terms every appointment at Arits Beauté runs on. They are the same policies summarised in the FAQ, gathered here so you can read or share them in one place.
Confirming your booking
Your appointment is confirmed once your 50% non-refundable retainer is paid. Booking online takes the retainer right at booking, so your slot is secured immediately.
Cancellations
Cancellations are allowed up to 72 hours before your appointment. Any later and the retainer is forfeited.
Your retainer is refunded in full if we change or cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances.
Running late and no-shows
A $10 fee is incurred every 10 minutes. Call or text if you are running late.
Twenty minutes late is considered a no-show. Your retainer is forfeited, the appointment is cancelled, and part of your outstanding balance must be paid.
Travel and mobile service
We are available to travel outside Nova Scotia, but the client is responsible for all travel and accommodation expenses.
Out of studio services are $220, and a logistic charge is added once you provide your service address.
Preparing for a makeup appointment
- Arrive with cleansed skin and exfoliated, moisturised lips.
- Have your brows freshly groomed and any unwanted facial hair removed. Brow grooming during your session is $10.
- Lashes are included, in a variety of styles. You are welcome to bring your own if you have a preference.
Preparing for a hair appointment
- Arrive with freshly washed, detangled and blown-out hair, so your scalp is properly prepped.
- Your unit must be delivered 5–7 days before your appointment, so we can prep, style and customise it for your install.
- Tell us in advance if you have a sensitive scalp or skin. You are welcome to bring your own products.
